Well that is another month passed, and our "unofficial" figure for the rainfall was 1.5", the tally for the year so far comes through at 28.35" ... the tally last year at the same time was just short of 37", say no more... today, again, once the mist had lifted, a glorious day followed on, with the forecast looking the same for a few more days. Do not get me wrong, I am not complaining!!!! The bird front has been quiet today... Bob saw a large female Peregrine fly over Bolsay Moor. This afternoon, down on the Oa, we saw a Merlin and while looking at the game crops with the Dave, we saw the large mixed flock of Twite and Linnet of around 150 birds, there was also a Reed Bunting on top of the fence at the edge of one of the fields.
