Tuesday 11th August

Yesterday, Lucien Williams who is staying with Peter down at Bruichladdich, had seen a Great Skua over Loch Indaal, better still was the fact that the same bird was seen from the comfort of Peter's front room! Bob yesterday had a count of 190 Greylags on Loch Gorm. Today, Bob saw a young Cuckoo being fed by a Meadow Pipit up at Bolsay. Here at home this morning, there was a pair of Linnets feeding on the seedheads out beside the window, later on were some Goldfinches and a few Chaffinches there also. This afternoon, a Peregrine flew in from Machir Bay, over the War graves cemetery and on away inland over the crag.
