As predicted last night, the end of another month was coming, and as promised the dreaded rainfall figures. After all that, we only had 5.1" not that much, especially after a really dry May and June. The total for the year is still well down, but the rain we have had has fairly freshened everything up again, with everywhere looking nice and green again!
Out the back of the hill this afternoon was a noisy Buzzard while over the cave was the large flock of Jackdaws, probably the same birds that I had seen resting up on the trusses of the old church. The young Kestrels are gaining confidence on the wing, definitely more mobile and moving over a bigger area now.
