An absolute pig of a day with heavy squally showers sweeping inform the sea, and not much improvement in the forecast for a few days ... Just as well we are not "trying" to grow barley for one of the Distilleries.
Yesterday, Mike Peacock had seen 2 Brent Geese off Port Charlotte, possibly the same birds that Carl had seen. Today Jim D's top birds were a female Sparrowhawk and a Wheatear between Claddach and Portnahaven. Here at home, we had seen a Greenfinch, the first one we have seen in almost 5 weeks. I wonder, with these high winds as to whether we may get some "different" birds dropping in, we can but hope!!!
